PTP operates at Bewl Water, one of the South East’s largest and most scenic reservoirs, offering high-quality paddlesports, equipment hire, and guided on-water experiences in a stunning natural setting.We provide kayak, canoe, and paddle board hire, allowing individuals, families, and groups to explore the reservoir at their own pace.

 

All hire sessions are supported by clear safety briefings and experienced staff, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.Alongside hire, we deliver coached sessions, and skills.

Name: SUP Sheltered Water Award

Date's: 11th,12th April / 9th,10th May / 20th,21st June / 25th,26th July. 

The Stand Up Paddleboard Sheltered Water Award builds your ability to plan and enjoy safe SUP journeys on sheltered water, up to 200 metres from shore and in winds up to force 3. You’ll learn how to assess weather, wind, water conditions, and local restrictions, and how to select appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable time on the water.

Name: Canoe Award

The Canoe Award develops your skills to plan and undertake safe, enjoyable journeys on sheltered water in a canoe. You’ll learn how to assess weather, water conditions, access restrictions, and choose appropriate equipment and personal protective gear to support confident decision-making on the water.

Name: Progressive Canoe Award

Date's: 17th,18th April / 28th,29th May /  25th,26th July. 

The Progressive Canoe Award builds on your existing canoe skills, supporting longer and more demanding journeys on sheltered and slow-moving water. You’ll develop stronger decision-making around conditions, route choice, and equipment, while improving efficiency, confidence, and safety as a paddler.

Name: Open Water Touring Award

The Open Water Touring Award develops the skills and judgment needed for longer, more exposed journeys on open water. You’ll learn to plan routes, assess weather and water conditions, manage risk, and choose appropriate equipment to paddle confidently and safely away from the shore.

Name: Paddle Sport Safety and Rescue Award

The Paddle Sport Safety and Rescue Award develops the skills needed to prevent incidents and respond effectively when things go wrong on the water. You’ll learn practical rescue techniques, self-rescue, and risk awareness to support safe paddling across a range of paddle sport environments.

The Inland Open Water Safety and Rescue Award focuses on keeping yourself and others safe during open water paddling on inland venues. You’ll learn practical rescue techniques, risk management, and decision-making skills to deal with common incidents, changing conditions, and emergency situations effectively.
