Lake Building Updates

As many of you know we have been trying to get changing rooms and facilities lakeside for a long time now. Well there has now been some progress...... So as many of you may or may not know, we have changed to PTP.org.uk as a not-for-profit as we found being a limited company held so many barriers accessing funding to achieve our objectives (making swimming and watersports accessible). This has now been done, which i wish had gone smoother but we are processing.

Back to the point....

SO, in February/March time Pia was working hard in the office, writing up a National Lottery Heritage bid to be able to install facilities lakeside. We are now at stage 2, set to go to a commitee to see if our funding is approved. This is super exciting for us as usually we get turned down at first glance. However we want to keep you updated to the goings on behind the scenes as such as we are always working to keep our community safe and happy (as much as we can).

So here it is.... the design depicts a building to replace what would have historically been the old Boat house, but this time it is to be repurposed to providing customers with Changing rooms (cubicles/open areas), Showers (outdoors) and an infa-red Sauna (yes one of our own). There will also be an open deck to the front to be able to host Yoga/ stretching classes on (weather permitted) or for those who wish to still change in nature the opportunity to do so with out so much muddy feet.

We will be setting up a survey to get everyones feedback on design but more importantly anything we may have forgotten or not thought about.
